Jardot-Eckert

MOUNT VERNON - Cynthia Jardot and Jay D. Eckert were married in an afternoon ceremony Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at the Jardot home in Eaton Rapids, Mich.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Charlotte Jardot of Eaton Rapids.

The groom is the son of the late Reuben "Slim" Eckert and the late Verna Hudgins, both formerly of Mount Vernon.

The bride wore a wrist corsage of white daisies with her great-grandmother's handkerchief tucked in the wrist band during the double-ring ceremony, with Pastor Will Clegg officiating.

The maid of honor was Kira Kearney of Mukilteo, daughter of the bride.

The best man was Don Jardot of Vermontville, Mich., brother of the bride.

The bridesmaid was Bambi, a minature greyhound.

Ushers were Linda and Jerry Cobb of Olivet, Mich., and Terrie Jardot of Vermontville.

The reception was held at the bride's parents' home.

The bride is a 1983 graduate of the University of Michigan, with a Master of Social Work degree. She works for the State of Washington at Smokey Point.

The groom attended Western Washington University. He works at the Copy and Print Store in Mount Vernon.

For their honeymoon, the couple took a train trip from Everett to Chicago. They live in Mount Vernon.
