Fixing up the kitchen cupboards was quite a project. I tackled the upper cabinets first, stripping the boxes, painting, then replacing the doors with new wood ones. The next step was having someone replace our countertop, then putting in a new sink with drainboard, new faucet and an under counter water filter. Jay installed a couple of roll out shelves in the bottom cupboards, then I stripped paint some more. I initially thought I could just strip and paint the whole bottom cupboards, but did not like how that looked and how much work it took, and so opted to do the same as the upper cupboards, replacing the doors with new wood ones. It looks good. |
